I have very strong feeling in how to grow the game. I sincerely believe that golf club companies that eluded that the purchase of a certain golf club will magically transform your game from bad to good. This is a misrepresentation on how one learns. The equation is as followed: Golf club supports Golf skill [ golf instruction ] not the other way around . Ex. A golfer purchases a driver for $500 with hope of getting better. He should have purchased a $200 driver, spent $300 on lessons. Purchasing a driver without the lessons does not work. What this has done is create frustrated golfers eventually they have another excuse to quit. You don’t hear of single digits golfers quitting. When you are playing well you want to play more often then not[ more $ for golf course ]. You will also convince yourself to purchase better equipment because Hey you deserve it . Skill before equipment. My solution is this. Every golf companies should included in the sale of their clubs a $100 gift certificate that can only be used for golf lesson with the teacher of their choice. How that for a solution? The best of both worlds .
My name is Rick like you I’m passionate about this great game of golf and one day I hope to see you out there..
